The wedding celebration

Hi!

On the 2nd of April in 2022 we had a humanist ceremony & wedding reception, and we very much enjoyed sharing it with our family and friends.

Where we got married

After a long search we picked The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel in the quiet town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire. Ok, maybe it wasn't a long search. We had a shortlist after doing some research online, but when we visited we knew it was the place for us.

We are sure all our guests liked it as much as we did!

The weather was great for the ceremony in the lovely enclosed garden, and the meal in the orangerie with our afternoon guests was wonderful. In the evening there was music, snacks and plenty drinks!

A handy map

Here's a map to let you see the venue.

The theme, dress code, etc

As we got engaged at a pagoda in the foothills of Mount Fuji we wanted the theme to have a hint of Japan to it. There were subtle touches here and there, and some of you added a little something in your outfit.

For those that asked about giving us something

We didn't need stuff, so didn't have a gift list.

Thanks to those who contributed to our honeymoon, we very much enjoyed it!
